Aerosol Bed Bug & Flea Killer Recalled Due to Injury Risk

On August 3, 2023, Maggie’s Farm issued a recall of the company’s Aerosol Bed Bug & Flea Killer products because the aerosol can can rupture and expel shrapnel, posing an injury and laceration hazard to consumers. Contents may also leak and pose a risk of skin and eye irritation. The company has received four reports of ruptures, but no injuries have been reported.

Recalled products were sold nationwide at Meijer, Big Y, Stop & Shop, Woodman’s, Walmart.com, Amazon.com, and the company website. Products are packaged in green, 14-ounce aerosol cans with a red target and bar and the company logo, and can be further identified by the following:

  • UPC: 811249020540
  • Lot #: 0101325

Consumers who have recalled Aerosol Bed Bug & Flea Killer should stop using the product, take a photo of the recalled can and lot code, wrap the product in a plastic bag or several layers of paper, and dispose of it in the trash. Consumers may submit their photo and contact information to Maggie’s Farm to receive a full refund.
